To the brim and more often than not overflowing – home, work, in my head, rationally, otherwise… it’s been 1 full year since I first saw your crinkle nosed crying face.

Since I discovered meaning beyond myself, since I embraced the unpredictable with more equanimity, since I started smiling more often, since I leant to love.

Feels as much my birth-day as yours.

They always wet roads before they shoot them for movies: to allow for the reflections from the wet surface to break the darkness of the night and add visua drama.

This ‘trick’ came to life for me at Bombay airport last week. Bleary eyed, presentation still to be fine tuned, I stopped in my tracks by the frame and brought it with me.

Both the 8 hour nanny and the 24 hour nanny have been replaced with daycare, which means I get to feed him breakfast every morning. Without much argument the best way to wake up to a day ever: him munching toothlessly and playing footsie…





They have removed the back-lit planter glow signs from the sea face. No longer do u have a movie star 20 feet in very well fitted attire. And the sea face is the better for his absence. More natural, less manicured and yes, maybe I am nostalgic!

I started trying to capture the pureness but the slow camera phone and the accompanying traffic wouldn't give me a frame.

In the bargain I got some decent shots of the dusk from the bridge: the merits of being chauffeured in a kaali peeli
